today was a beautiful day.

I visited a new church this morning and it was wonderful. The worship through song was genuine, the pastor was very real, and the Word was studied. Something that stuck out to me today from what the pastor taught was this: If I, as a Christian, feel anything less than awe and amazement for my salvation through Jesus Christ, then I've forgotten about the power of His blood. It was convicting to hear that this morning. We should be in continual awe of the saving blood and power of Jesus, and I know that most times that thought doesn't even cross my mind in the course of a day.

Plus, the sun was shining and the temperature was perfect. The crisp air in the mornings has gotten me excited for the fall.

And for the PUMPKIN FESTIVAL. I am really excited to be able to enjoy it this coming weekend.

I took this photo in July, I think... shooting through an old camera that belonged to my mom's mother. It's a view looking out to the yard from the back porch at my house. I just really enjoy the frame-inside-the-frame in this image. Thought I would share it.

I think I need to go eat a chocolate chip cookie with some milk. Have a great week :)
